Our Story

FastFrame was founded in 1986 in Thousand Oaks, California. Retail stores are located throughout the United States and internationally in The Bahamas and Brazil.

FastFrame stores are owner-operated, providing personal design and quality custom picture framing services for residential customers and commercial clients. When you visit a FastFrame store, you will receive an in-depth, personal design consultation so we can best serve your unique framing needs.

Stores offers a fast turnaround using state of the art, on-site custom framing equipment. Our locations can create the highest industry quality custom frames in as little as 24 hours.

Our Minneapolis Story

When you come to FastFrame Minneapolis you are working directly with Steve Schaben. He has managed the Minneapolis location since it opened in 1989 and took over the ownership in 2004. He takes great pride in getting to know customers and finding unique, creative solutions to meet their needs.

In a time when friendly, helpful, and fairly-priced service are all impossible to find, enter Steve and the Minneapolis Fastframe to restore your faith. I've had wonderful frame jobs on simple and complicated pieces, all for a reasonable price and all with great suggestions on color and style. You're never pressured to spend more. Steve is way more knowledgable than any store with similar prices, and everything comes back looking immaculately professional. I could not be happier with every interaction I've had here.

I recently had two very different pieces framed here and I am so so happy with both of them. Steve was really delightful to work with and offered great assistance/guidance while choosing frames. As the name suggests, the service was super fast and I received both pieces within just a few days. As far as professional framing goes, it was also very reasonable.
Steve was so great to work with. We had a concept in mind for a gift for our son (a framed hockey jersey), but very little idea about any of the details. Steve worked with us to bring our idea to reality and the final product far exceeded our expectations... oh and the pricing was excellent and he was even able to get everything put together quickly enough that we had it in hand for our son's birthday! I've brought in odd shapes, unique colors, custom frames, things to be done on the cheap, and they all turn out great. I can give loose or specific directions and within a try or two he comes up with an option that meets my needs and brings out the best in the art. And he doesn't mind when I bring in my dog to pick up too 😁
